Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Baylee Sexton and Aiden Fertich were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for November. Sexton and Fertich were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school, and community service activities. 

Sexton is the daughter of Edward and Candace Sexton of Elizabethtown. She is a vice president of the prestigious National Honor Society. Sexton is active in the school’s music and theater programs. She is French horn section leader in the band and cello section leader in the orchestra. She is also a member of the concert choir. On the stage, Sexton has held roles in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Fame, Cinderella, and The Sound of Music. Outside of the arts, Sexton is active with Key Club, Mini-THON, Quiz Bowl, Roots and Shoots, and the competition science team.

Sexton is active in the community where she has danced at local nursing homes and marched in the local Holiday and Memorial Day Parades.

Sexton plans to attend college and obtain a bachelor’s degree in the science field.

Fertich is the son of Scot and Nance Fertich of Elizabethtown. Fertich is a member of the prestigious National Honor Society. He is also active with the school’s computer programming club. Fertich has been a key member of the four-time Lancaster-Lebanon League Section II champiom, three-time Lancaster-Lebanon League Champion, and 2016 District III and PIAA runner-up Boys’ Soccer team. Individually, Fertich has received Lancaster-Lebanon League all-star recognition.

In the community, Fertich is active with his church attending several service trips to Kentucky and Florida.

Fertich plans to attend college and later pursue a degree in computer science.
