April 6, 2022- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Victoria Bressler and Vincent Checco were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club's Students of the Month for April. This program celebrates and recognizes student achievements by sustaining a culture of learning that values academic success and raises awareness of student contributions to the EAHS community.

Bressler is the daughter of Holly and Shawn Funk of Elizabethtown. As a junior, the high school inducted Bressler into the prestigious T.H. Ebersole Chapter of the National Honor Society for exhibiting the four pillars of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. 

Bressler is a talented vocalist and performer, having been named by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association the District 7 choir two times and the Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association all-star choir ensemble twice. In addition, she is a section leader in concert, jazz, and marching bands. Hershey Apollo Awards nominated Bressler as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play and Outstanding Performer in a play.

Bressler holds leadership positions in numerous school programs, including student director for Theatre Club and publicity secretary for student council, Key Club, and the Class of 2022. She is also active in the high school band, chorus, orchestra, jazz band, and show choir.

In the community, Bressler works as a conductor for the Hershey Trolley Works.

Her plans after graduation include attending a four-year college and majoring in music education.

Checco is the son of Michael and Mary Checco of Elizabethtown. 

Checco is active with the band, choir, and orchestra; quiz bowl; Model United Nations; and the spring musical. In addition, he is a member of the bowling team. A talented musician, Checco was selected to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association's District 7 band two times and the District 7 choir once. The Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association named him to the county band three times and the county choir two times.

In the community, Checco is a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, where he is active with the youth group. He is also active with the Elizabethtown College Community Orchestra.
After graduation, Checco plans to attend college and major in music education.
