June 4, 2019- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Mayelin Ebersole and Erik Webb were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for June. Ebersole and Webb were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school and community service activities. 

Ebersole is the daughter of Jeff and Nancy Ebersole of Elizabethtown. She is member of the prestigious National Honor Society. She is an accomplished musician having earned numerous awards from the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA). She has been selected to the PMEA District, Regional, and All-State Orchestras. She was also a participant in the Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association county orchestra. She has been section leader and principal viola player for the high school orchestra. She also plays the flute and piccolo in the high school’s marching and concert bands. She is active with Key Club and a member of the tennis team.
June Students of the Month
Ebersole is active in the community. She volunteers at the community library and a local thrift store. She is active with the Harrisburg Symphony Youth Orchestra and Hershey Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the Bainbridge Band.

Ebersole plans to attend college and major in Music Performance and Biology and eventually obtain a graduate degree 

Webb is the son of Jeff and Nancy Webb of Elizabethtown. Webb is active in numerous school activities including the hockey team and the Mind and Body Club. As a member of the hockey team, he was assistant captain and selected to the league all star team. He is the recipient of numerous underclass awards including in the areas of Algebra, English, and Wellness-Health & PE.

In the community, Webb volunteers at Doc’s Family Skating Rink and at the Masonic Village.

Webb plans to attend the Millersville University and major in Biology Education.
