June 8, 2022- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Faith Burkholder and Mason Flowers were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club's Students of the Month for June. This program celebrates and recognizes student achievements by sustaining a culture of learning that values academic success and raises awareness of student contributions to the EAHS community.

Burkholder is the daughter of Dean and Melissa Burkholder of Marietta. As a junior, the high school inducted Burkholder into the prestigious T.H. Ebersole Chapter of the National Honor Society for exhibiting the four pillars of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. 

During her high school years, Burkholder has been active with the Bible Club, Mini-THON, and Future Farmers of America (FFA), where she serves as club president. For her exceptional participation in FFA, Burkholder has earned numerous honors, including the Greenhand, Chapter, Red Rose, and Keystone Degrees.June Students of the Month

In the community, Burkholder is employed by Floral Designs of Mount Joy. She is also active with Lancaster County 4-H serving as the program's president.

Her plans after graduation include attending Penn State University and majoring in animal science to become a large animal veterinarian.

Flowers is the son of Christopher and Karen Flowers of Elizabethtown. 

Flowers has been active in numerous school programs. He was a member of the high school's quiz bowl team as a freshman and the bowling team his sophomore, junior, and senior years. As a Bears' bowler, he helped guide the team to three straight Lancaster-Lebanon League Section II titles. 

In the community, Flowers is employed at Weis Markets as a cashier and self-checkout supervisor.

After graduation, Flowers plans to attend Shippensburg University.
