March 9, 2022- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Makenna Locke and Tristan Lentz were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club's Students of the Month for March. This program celebrates and recognizes student achievements by sustaining a culture of learning that values academic success and raises awareness of student contributions to the EAHS community.  Makenna Locke and Tristan Lentz

Locke is the daughter of Arnold and Kathy Locke of Elizabethtown. As a junior, the high school inducted Locke into the prestigious T.H. Ebersole Chapter of the National Honor Society for exhibiting the four pillars of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. In addition, Locke was named a National AP Scholar for exceptional achievement on the AP Exams.

Locke performs with and has served as the concertmaster for the orchestra. In addition, she sits on the pit orchestra for the high school musical. Locke is a member of the bowling, lacrosse, and science Olympiad teams. She is also active with the student council. As a member of the Science Olympiad team, Locke has earned multiple awards at local competitions. She also placed second in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) competition called TEAMS. 

In the community, Locke has volunteered on multiple service-related trips to Washington DC and New York City. She works at Lucky Ducks Bar and Grille in Elizabethtown.

Her plans after graduation include attending a four-year college and majoring in chemical engineering.  

Lentz is the son of Glen and Heather Lentz of Elizabethtown. He performs with the marching band and is a boys' volleyball team member. In addition, Lentz is active with student council and the theater program. 

In the community, Lentz is active with his church's youth group and community service programs. Lentz is employed by Hershey Trolley Works.

After graduation, Lentz plans to attend Point Park University for Sports, Art, and Entertainment Management.
